Bernadette Davis
CHATHAM - Bernadette Davis, 46, of Chatham, formerly of of Springfield, died Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at St. John's Hospice.
She was born August 18, 1960 in Springfield, IL, the daughter of Carmen and Drucilla Nunn DiNardo. She married Joseph G. Davis in 1987. Her parents; stepfather, Ralph Dodd; and one brother, Pete DiNardo, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Davis worked for the Early Learning Center, District 186, where she was a screening coordinator assistant. She was a member of St. Joseph Church in Chatham. She enjoyed reading, shopping, and traveling, and loved music.
Survivors: husband, Joe Davis of Chatham; one son, Ben R. Davis of Chatham; five sisters, Ada (husband, Tony) Henn of Chatham, Santa (husband, Tom) Janssen, Peb (husband. Tom) Brennan, Mary DiNardo, all of Springfield, and Angela (husband, Barry) Veach of Riverton; four brothers, Carmen, Sam, and Joe DiNardo, all of Springfield, and Gene DiNardo of Rochester; several aunts and uncles; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial gathering will be held 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 24, 2007. Graveside Service: 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 25, 2007 at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Reverend Robert Franzen officiating. Family and friends will meet at Staab Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. and leave for the cemetery at 10:30 a.m. Burial: Camp Butler National Cemetery. Staab Funeral Home of Service.
