Betty L. Jerome

Betty L. Jerome, 80, of Sherman, IL, died on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at St. John's Hospice. She was born in Springfield on March 30, 1932 to Charles and Catherine Schmitt Nesch. She married Jack Joseph Jerome in 1954 and he preceded her in death on October 21, 2001. Also preceding her in death are her parents and one sister, Mary Ann Thomas.
Surviving are one daughter, Cathy (Douglas) Fowler of Sherman; one son, John (Judy) Jerome of Springfield; four grandchildren, Ryan Jerome, Jessica Jerome, Rachel Fowler and Kyle Fowler and several nieces and nephews.
Betty was a lifelong resident in Sherman, IL and retired from the State of Illinois Department of Revenue. She formerly enjoyed bowling and baking.
Visitation: 10-11a.m, Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Staab Funeral Home
Funeral Service: 11a.m, Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Staab Funeral Home with Msgr. Carl Kemme officiating. Interment will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
