Rose Volkman

SPRINGFIELD - Rose Volkman, 66, of Springfield, died Monday, June 4, 2007 at St. John's Hospice.

She was born February 16, 1941 in San Cipirello, Sicily, Italy, the daughter of Vito and Gasprina Randazzo Lapiccola. Her parents and one son, John Jones, in 1980, preceded him in death.

Ms. Volkman was a licensed practical nurse at Memorial Medical Center.

Survivors: one stepdaughter, Kay Allen of Ava, MO; one son, Jeff (wife, Mary Ann) Jones of Green Bay, WI; four grandchildren, Patrick, Kelsey, Haley, and Linsey Jones; one brother, John (wife, Jeanetta) Lapiccola of Springfield; three nieces; two nephews; and four great-nieces.

Memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation or American Diabetes Foundation.
